Bok Choy Brown Rice Sesame Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 head bok choy washed, dried and sliced
- 1 each onion peeled, chopped
- 4 cloves fresh garlic peeled, minced
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp ginger fresh or powdered (fresh is always the best choice)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp tamari gluten free soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 cups cooked brown rice
Instructions
- Start cooking brown rice according to package directions Add in the bok choy and toss together. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often Add tamari sauce just before it is done When it is done, toss together with cooked rice Before serviing add sesame oil and tamari sauce to taste Sprinkle with sesame seeds, which you can toast for extra flavor Holds well in refrigerator for 1 to 2 days
- Prepare bok choy, garlic and onion
- Put oil and garlic in Wok, then turn on heat to medium high
- When oil heats up and garlic begins to be fragrant, add the chopped onion, ginger and red pepper flakes. Stir frying 3 to 4 minutes till slightly softened. Be careful not to burn the garlic or it becomes bitter
